Meet the Team
Steve Tarte, Chief Executive Officer
Bringing 35 years of executive experience in retail, manufacturing and professional services industries, Steve Tarte has served as a Senior Vice President for a publicly traded international supplier of real-time hydrologic data monitoring equipment and engineering services to more than 40 countries globally. The last 11 years have been primarily focused on Cribb Philbeck Weaver Group, a professional engineering firm he co-founded. He is also a co-founder and the CEO of Zennergy LLC. Steve has been married for 29 years to his high school sweetheart and has 5 children. He is a supporter of several charities serving children and disadvantaged people around the world.
Jeff Tarte, Executive Vice-President
Senator Jeff Tarte represents the 41st District in the North Carolina Senate. A resident of Cornelius, Senator Tarte was elected to three terms as Mayor of Cornelius before being elected to the Senate in 2012. A former partner at Ernst and Young, Senator Tarte has started several small businesses. He was a co-founder and currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of Applied Revenue Analytics, an international healthcare IT consulting firm. He and his wife, Dr. Nancy Tarte, attend Davidson United Methodist Church and have three grown children.
Robert Kantor, Executive Vice-President Sales and Corporate Culture
Robert brings 15 years of executive experience to the Zennergy team. As the Executive Vice President of Sales & Corporate Culture he brings a former Chief Executive Officer’s knowledge of how to grow a business from to zero to success. His unique understanding of molding company culture using MPB (Making People Better) principles enhance the working environment and customer service of Zennergy. Rob is also currently serving as Ambassador and Community Advocate for the Tampa Police Department.
Mike Brock, Controller
Mike brings over 40 years of financial and corporate governance to Zennergy as the Controller. His experience is in both Fortune 500 and venture funded start-ups. This experience covers both manufacturing and engineering services companies, mainly in the technology sector. Mike and his wife both serve on the audio, video, and lighting (AVL) team at United Methodist Church.
